Account deletion
You can request permanent deletion of your GetBill account and the personal information associated with it. The email process below is available even if your installed app version does not show an account-deletion option.
Request Deletion Without the App
Email [email protected] from the address associated with your GetBill account. Use the subject GetBill account deletion request and include the account email address in the message.
We will verify account ownership before processing an email request. We generally complete a verified request within 30 days and will confirm when deletion is complete. We may ask for additional information if it is reasonably necessary to prevent unauthorized deletion.
Do not send passwords, Google authentication codes, full payment card numbers, bank credentials, private keys, or access tokens.
Delete Your Account in Supported App Versions
If your installed GetBill mobile app displays Delete Account, you can submit the request in the app:
- Sign in to the GetBill account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- Select Account.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the account email and complete the Google reauthentication step.
- Review the warning and confirm permanent deletion.
If Delete Account is not visible, use the email process above. The app will check subscription status before deletion. If it reports an active paid subscription, follow the provider instructions below and retry. You do not have to wait for a subscription period to expire before requesting deletion: contact support if you need help or want us to process an immediate account-deletion request.
Manage an Active Subscription
Deleting a GetBill account does not cancel recurring billing with Apple, Google Play, or Stripe. Cancel the subscription through the provider where you purchased it:
- Apple App Store: Manage Apple subscriptions
- Google Play: Manage Google Play subscriptions
- Web or Stripe: Open subscription management from GetBill while signed in, or email GetBill Support.
Canceling stops future renewals according to the provider's terms. It does not automatically refund a completed charge. Refund requests are handled by the original billing provider and applicable law.
What Deletion Covers
Subject to the limited retention described below, account deletion removes or de-identifies:
- Your GetBill authentication account and profile.
- Business profiles, settings, and logos.
- Clients, products, invoices, estimates, notes, and payment records stored in GetBill.
- Generated documents, public document links, and uploaded attachments controlled by GetBill.
- Device notification registrations and active-service identifiers associated with the account.
- GetBill subscription and entitlement records that are not required for legal or transaction-history purposes.
Account deletion is permanent. Deleted records cannot be restored through the Service.
Information That May Be Retained
GetBill may retain limited records when required or permitted for tax, accounting, payment disputes, fraud prevention, security, legal claims, or regulatory compliance. Information in encrypted backups is removed according to the applicable backup rotation and is not restored to active use after a valid deletion request.
Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, Stripe, Google, or other providers may retain purchase, payment, authentication, or compliance records under their own legal obligations and privacy policies. Contact those providers directly to exercise rights over information they independently control.
